QMI partners with SoftShield LLC to provide our clients and customers with easy access to QMI’s proprietary PowerPoint® training materials. A complete software solution, SoftShield protects and manages viewing rights for PowerPoint-based intellectual property.
SoftShield allows our users, licensees, and affiliates the ability to conduct visuality trainings and implementations easily and effectively.
How It Works. PowerPoint (PPT) files are converted to a Secure PPT format, using the SoftShield Security Engine. These files are embedded with a unique security code and can only be opened when the correct hardware or a software key is provided for the user’s computer.
Secure PPT files can be distributed by e-mail, by FTP, Web download, or by CD-Rom. The folder containing the Secure PPTs is simply loaded onto the user’s PC. After a one-time setup procedure and with a valid viewing-rights key, users can access the material as easily as conventional PowerPoint.
Viewing rights are easily provided to our clients as an e-mail attachment or as a file download from our Web site.
Soon licensees and affiliates in the field will be able to update their user rights to our copyrighted material 24/7 via the Web, allowing our user community easy access to change and maintain viewing rights with a few clicks of the mouse.
